Tracey Hernly
Coldwell Banker Hubbell BriarWood – Holt
REALTOR® Member - 4 years
What do you believe makes you a qualified candidate for the Board of Directors?
I am devoted to our industry, profession and the overall betterment of our Association and community. I take my job, career and responsibility to serve others serious. I have extensive knowledge, background and experience in various aspects in the real estate industry.
I have served on various committees including but not limited to the following:
2017 Chair of Professional Development Committee;
2017 Finance and Budget Committee Member;
2016 Leadership Development Committee Member;
2016 Women’s Council of REALTORS® President;
2015 Women’s Council of REALTORS® President – Elect; and
Chaired multiple fundraisers for Women’s Council of REALTORS® and served on various committees within that organization.
What do you think the biggest issue is right now facing Agents and the real estate industry?
I feel one of the most important issues facing our industry in my opinion is reaching our consumer and helping them understand our value. There are so many different platforms now and competition for their business lurking around - trying to figure out what they really want and what truly works is tough. We as an industry need to be open to embracing change when it is necessary and makes sense.
From your perspective, what can the Association do to help agents or the real estate industry improve?
I think more hands on classes working with the FLEX MLS system and other technology offered would be great to help those struggling to embrace change more comfortable. I also think I would help new agents understand their job and the expectations.
Tell us why you want to be on the Board of Directors?
I think it is important to give back. Taking  active participation in the growth and development of our organization is a powerful statement. I am honored to make that statement. I am passionate about learning, educating, being better, doing better and committed to sharing that with our members.
