Tell us why you want to be on the Board of Directors.
Beckwith: “I do really love our industry and want to be an encouragement to those already involved and to others who might want to join us. Make no mistake…real estate is a career, not a job, and it can test each of us. I believe, however, that for those who feel the same, I can project a helpful and positive impression of the great people who serve at GLAR and on the board.”
What do you think is the biggest current issue facing real estate agents?
Beckwith: “I think all agents face the challenge of our “ever-changing” market. Our day to day experiences have seen fast paced change…such as low inventories, super competitive and aggressive buyers, and increasing interest rates. Remaining current and adaptable can be an issue in and of itself.”
What do you believe makes you a qualified candidate for the Board of Directors?
Beckwith: “I truly enjoy the real estate industry and very much appreciate the opportunity it provides each of us to fashion a career that is, both, challenging and rewarding. I have had the privilege to serve on the board for a term and have learned a great deal and have always wanted to represent the very best of what our industry offers.”
In your opinion, what can the Association do to help agents or the real estate industry improve?
Beckwith: “I sincerely believe that keeping communication between the Board, the Association and our members open, positive and helpful can be a success story for all of us who are a part of GLAR.”
