Joe Vitale, REALTOR®

Century 21 Affiliated

Member of GLAR for 17 Years

Tell us why you want to be on the Board of Directors.

Vitale: “I feel this is a good time for me to give back to membership, in a way so many others have before. I feel I have a good pulse of the market and good relationships in membership. These are all reasons I feel I can be a good contributor to the Board of Directors.”

What do you think is the biggest current issue facing real estate agents?

Vitale: “I think the ever-changing market is the biggest issue facing real estate agents. Things can change without notice and we need to be able to modify and align quickly. Prior it was the market crash and seemed to happen overnight, dropping real estate prices, creating longer time on the market, forcing many agents to find other income sources and many people lost their homes to foreclosure. The newest, which has been in effect for year has been the shortage of inventory and all the situations that has created for both buyers, sellers and agents.”

What do you believe makes you a qualified candidate for the Board of Directors?

Vitale: “I am committed to the industry as a practitioner and also always learning and growing. I believe my experience can help to guide the association in a role of director that can manage the overall good for all while still keeping the focus on our members, the REALTORS®. I have had previous leadership experience within GLAR as professional standards vice chair and chair and most recently MLS chair for the past 2 years.”

In your opinion, what can the Association do to help agents or the real estate industry improve?

Vitale: “I think the association can continue to provide the tools and opportunities for agents through education and technology. I also think the association, and its’ members have a duty to the Code of Ethics, following and adopting new rules from NAR. We all need to strive for excellence in all aspects and show the community and our clients the value of a REALTOR®.”
