Promoting Your Value

March 2025 Industry Update

Instructor: Amanda Oboza

Top 10 Takeaways from the March 2025 Presentation

1. It’s more important than ever to showcase your value
In today’s competitive market, REALTORS® must clearly demonstrate their unique value, especially with increased industry challenges like AI, internet resources, and changing regulations.

2. Know Your Target Audience
Narrow your focus. Whether it’s first-time buyers, investors, rural land, or a specific neighborhood—define who you’re best suited to serve.

3. CRM + Good Data = Relationship Gold
Your Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) is only as useful as the quality of data you put in. Track transaction dates, client details, and follow-up notes.

4. Build a Clear and Concise Value Proposition (Value Prop)
Define who you are, what you offer, and how you differ from competitors. Don’t overthink slogans or branding. It’s more important to clearly explain what you do, who you help, and why it matters than to sound “cool.”

5. Emphasize Ethical Training and Trustworthiness
REALTORS® are bound by a strict Code of Ethics, setting them apart from non-members. This commitment fosters trust and assures clients of fair and ethical treatment. Be sure you are communicating that to potentials clients.

6. Ask Clients How You Made Them Feel
People may not remember what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel. Beyond service reviews, ask past clients specific questions about emotions—especially during stressful or meaningful moments of the transaction.

7. Regular Client Follow-Up: Before, During & After the Sale

Clients Forget They Can Call You After Closing — Remind Them At closing, explicitly tell clients you’re available for help after move-in (utilities, referrals, weird issues). Be their go-to person, not just their former agent.

8. Promote Your Education & Ongoing Training
REALTORS® complete continuing education and legal updates regularly. Communicate this commitment to learning and compliance to reassure clients of your up-to-date expertise.

9. Leverage National Ad Campaigns

Use ready-made, high-quality NAR marketing materials to boost your presence and communicate your professionalism. Find them here!

10. REALTORS® Are Community Leaders and Advocates
69% of REALTORS® volunteer in their communities. Highlight your community involvement to humanize your brand and show that you care beyond closing deals.
