The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® first-ever Crowdfund “Fore” the Community fundraising event was a huge success!
Thanks to all participants, golfers, and sponsors who helped raise $2,000 for community projects.
Funds will be used toward community projects. For more than a decade, the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® has been committed to placemaking in the local area.
Golfers and non-golfers alike gathered on March 7 at X-Golf in Okemos to play the renowned Pebble Beach course on simulators. Aside from raising money for a good cause, the morning was a perfect blend of camaraderie and spirited play.

Background
While in years past, the Association has adopted actual parks, it has recently focused on more non-traditional spaces such as installing a train placeset and historical plaque at the former Lansing Train Depot and creating a linear park in Eaton Rapids.
Other placemaking projects from the Association can be found at the South Side Community Coalition, the Baker neighborhood in Lansing and the Village of Fowler.
The goal of this initiative is to strengthen, encourage and inspire community connection and gathering in public spaces and destinations.
Future
The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® is looking forward to making this fundraiser an annual tradition in those doldrum months of winter. Look for this event to cycle back through at the beginning of 2025. Stay tuned for more information.
