Voting has begun for the 2022 Michigan REALTORS® District Director Elections. The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® has two members running in the election. Chris Dean for District 7 and Beth Graham for District 8. Members living in these Congressional Districts with an NRDS ID number as of August 31, 2021 are eligible to vote int this election.

Voting will conclude Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. Each REALTOR® member may cast no more than one vote for a candidate for Michigan REALTORS® District Director.

Chris Dean
Chris Dean who is running in the 7th Congressional District – Congressman Tim Walberg’s district, has been a REALTOR® for 34 years and has owned a small real estate company, Gateway To Homes for 12 years before merging with Keller Williams in 2012.

“I’m running to be your next District Director because I want to continue to give something back to a profession that has given so much to me,” said Dean. “If you elect me to this position, I promise that I will always be a listening ear and a strong voice on the Michigan REALTORS® Board for you, our valued members. I promise that I will work alongside fellow board members to bring about positive change where change is needed. And I promise to always pursue policies that will benefit our industry and our area.”

Dean has served on numerous committees at the local, state and national level, including GLAR Board of Directors and as President in 2008 as well as the NAR RPAC Participation Council and the NAR Board of Directors.

Beth Graham
Beth Graham is running for re-election in the 8th Congressional District – Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin’s district.

“It would be a privilege to continue to serve my fellow REALTORS® as the District 8 Michigan REALTORS® Director. I have truly enjoyed serving as Director and would appreciate the opportunity to use my talents to further the mission and vision of Michigan REALTORS®,” said Graham. “It is my passion to give back to an industry that has been so fulfilling to me. I consider myself to be well-rounded in my knowledge of our industry from real estate to valuation to lending to regulatory issues. I am an involved member willing to work hard for our membership on the emerging issues we are facing in our industry.”

Graham has served at the local, state and national level including the GLAR Board of Directors and as President in 2016. She was also appointed by the Governor to the Michigan’s Appraiser’s Board and appointed by the Lansing Mayor to serve as Lansing Board of Water & Light Commissioner.

The criteria for Michigan REALTORS® District Director are: Three years as a Michigan REALTORS® member, and current member; Licensed as a broker, salesperson or appraiser in Michigan; No license law violations that are indicative of moral turpitude; Principal place of residence in the district elected to represent; Demonstrated leadership by one or more of the following; Prior or current director or officer of a local association; Prior or current president of a Michigan REALTORS® affiliated institute and/or society or council at the state level; Demonstration of participation in the Michigan REALTORS®.
